A novel method for the preparation of a tablet comprising a calcium-containing compound, the method involves a melt granulation process by which a sugar alcohol is melted and embeds the calcium-containing compound so that a sufficient taste~ masking of the chalkiness is substantially achieved and an unpleasant mouth feel of the calcium-containing compound is substantially avoided, while at the same time obtaining a low tablet volume. The method of the invention is especially suitable for the manufacturing of tablets having a high load of a calcium-containing compound.

L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé de préparation d'un comprimé contenant un composé à base de calcium. Ledit procédé comprend un processus de granulation par fusion d'un alcool de sucre intégrant le composé à base de calcium de façon à masquer suffisament le caractère crayeux de celui-ci, et de manière à éviter la désagréable sensation en bouche due au composé à base de calcium, tout en obtenant un comprimé de faible volume. Le procédé de l'invention est particulièrement adapté pour la fabrication de comprimés contenant une charge élevée d'un composé à base de calcium.
