ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Melting and application device for melting adhesives, having a melting chamber with a heatable melting wall located at the chamber and facing said application device, said heatable melting wall having exit openings, and a feed piston located for displacement in said melting chamber, the feed piston pressing a meltable adhesive unit against the melting wall in such a manner that the meltable adhesive is partially melted and supplied under pressure to the application device, charac- terized in that a melting insert provided with said melting wall is arranged between the melting chamber and the application device.
