A candle assembly is disclosed including a melting plate (10) and a fuel element (14). The melting plate includes a bottom wall (24) and a capillary lobe (22) having a peaked apex (2S) protruding upwardly therefrom. The fuel element includes a bottom surface (28) having a depression therein for receiving the peaked apex. The peaked apex may take many forms, such as hemispherical, conical, egg shaped, pyramidal, etc., and may have a pointed apex or a rounded apex. The depression in the fuel element may be complementary to the capillary lobe such that a capillary space is disposed therebetween and a portion of the bottom surface of the fuel element is in thermal communication with a portion of the bottom wall surrounding the capillary lobe.
L'invention concerne un ensemble bougie comprenant une plaque de fusion et un élément combustible. La plaque de fusion comprend une paroi inférieure et un lobe capillaire possédant un apex de crête en saillie vertical à partir de celui-ci. L'élément combustible comprend une surface inférieure comportant une dépression permettant de recevoir l'apex de crête. Cet apex peut revêtir plusieurs formes, notamment hémisphériques, coniques, ovoïdes, pyramidales, etc., et peut comporter un apex pointu ou un apex arrondi. La dépression dans l'élément combustible peut être complémentaire au lobe capillaire de sorte que l'espace capillaire soit placé entre eux et qu'une partie de la surface inférieure de l'élément combustible soit en communication thermique avec une partie de la paroi inférieure environnant le lobe capillaire.
