A member for securing insulation panels to a structural component is formed of an annular head and an axially extending hollow shaft extending from the head. The hollow shaft is arranged to receive a nail for fixing the member to the structural component. An axially extending section is positioned within the hollow shaft and has an abutment at its end closer to the head. When the nail is driven into the structural component its head contacts the abutment and at least an axially extending part of the section is collapsible to compensate for excess driving energy supplied to the nail whereby it is inserted for variable depths into the structural component. The collapsible part of the section prevents compressive forces from exercising any damaging effect on the insulation panels.

Un élément pour assujettir des panneaux isolants à une pièce de charpente est formé d'une tête annulaire et d'un arbre creux s'étendant axialement à partir de la tête. L'arbre creux peut recevoir un clou pour fixation de l'élément à la pièce de charpente. Une section s'étendant axialement est placée dans l'arbre creux et comporte un appui à son bout rapproché de la tête. Quand un clou est enfoncé dans la pièce de charpente, sa tête vient en contact avec l'appui et au moins une partie de la section s'étendant axialement peut s'écraser pour compenser une force d'enfoncement excessive exercée sur le clou, ce qui fait qu'il est introduit à une profondeur variable dans la pièce de charpente. La partie de la section qui peut s'écraser empêche les forces de compression d'exercer tout effet dommageable sur les panneaux isolants.
