C-07-21-0280 APPLICATION FOR LETTERS PATENT FOR MEMBRANE SEPARATION OF WEAK BASES FROM AQUEOUS STREAMS Abstract of the Disclosure Weak bases having at least about one percent of the base molecules in undissociated form are separated from aqueous mixtures containing same by contacting the aqueous feed mixture with a first surface of a nonionic, polymeric membrane which is selectively permeable to unionized base molecules, maintaining a second and opposite membrane surface at a lower chemical potential than the first surface, and withdrawing from the second membrane surface a mixture having a higher total concentration of base moieties than the unionized acids concentration in the aqueous feed mixture.
