A hydrogen producing reactor is disclosed. The hydrogen producing reactor has a reaction chamber containing a catalyst bed adapted to produce reaction products con-taining hydrogen from a hydrogen-producing feedstock. The reaction chamber also in-cludes a hydrogen-selective, hydrogen-permeable gas separation module adapted to re-ceive the reaction products from the catalyst bed and to separate a product stream con-taining hydrogen from the reaction products. The gas separation module comprises a porous substrate, an intermediate porous layer located at the porous substrate, and a hy-drogen- selective membrane overlying the intermediate layer. The intermediate porous layer comprises a powder having a Tamman temperature higher than the Tamman tem-perature of the porous substrate. A steam reforming process is also disclosed using the disclosed reactor.
La présente invention a trait à un réacteur de production d'hydrogène. Le réacteur de production d'hydrogène comporte une chambre de réaction contenant un lit catalytique adapté pour la production de produits réactionnels contenant de l'hydrogène à partir d'une charge de production d'hydrogène. La chambre de réaction comporte également un module de séparation de gaz sélective de l'hydrogène et perméable à l'hydrogène adapté pour la réception des produits réactionnels en provenance du lit catalytique et la séparation d'une vapeur produite contenant de l'hydrogène dérivé des produits réactionnels. Le module de séparation de gaz comporte un substrat poreux, une couche poreuse intermédiaire située au niveau du substrat poreux, et une membrane sélective de l'hydrogène sus-jacente à la couche intermédiaire. La couche poreuse intermédiaire comporte une poudre ayant une température de Tamman supérieure à la température de Tamman du substrat poreux. L'invention a également trait à un procédé de reformage à la vapeur mettant en oeuvre le réacteur de l'invention.
