A memo holder includes a magnetic sheet which is of a type commonly referred to as a "refrigerator magnet". The magnetic sheet may be of any shape, but should be sufficiently large to provide adequate support for the entire memo holder. A flashing arrow or other indicator device is supported by the magnetic sheet and includes a light source, such as a light emitting diode, and a replaceable battery power source. The indicator is switch operated, so that it can be turned on when a memo is present to attract attention, and turned off when no memo is present to avoid confusion and to save power. A clip allows the attachment of a small piece of paper such as the memo to the holder. A preferred clip is of the alligator jaw variety.
