A memory aid device of a simple and economical structure is provided for use in conjunction with one or more keys normally carried by the user to remind the user of a chore required at a particular time related to the use of the key. The device includes a mid-portion having a loop for attachment of the device relative to the key at one end and a key shank encompassing portion at the other end. The mid-portion of the device in a retracted condition is shorter than the key so as to maintain the shank encompassing portion on the shank to thereby disable the key. Thus, the user's memory is jogged when the user attempts to use the key and finds it does not function in a lock
L'invention est un dispositif aide-mémoire de structure simple et peu coûteuse dont l'utilisateur se sert conjointement avec une ou plusieurs des clés qu'il porte pour lui rappeler une tâche à effectuer à un moment particulier en rapport avec l'utilisation de cette clé ou de ces clés. Le dispositif comporte une partie médiane dotée d'une boucle de fixation par rapport à la clé à une extrémité et une partie recouvrant la tige de la clé à l'autre extrémité. En position escamotée, la partie médiane du dispositif est plus courte que la clé pour maintenir sur la tige la partie qui doit recouvrir cette dernière et rendre la clé inutilisable. La mémoire de l'utilisateur est alors réveillée quand celui-ci tente d'utiliser la clé et qu'il se rend compte qu'il ne peut l'introduire dans la serrure.
