A merchandise display hook, formed of molded plastic, is designed for mounting on a corrugated display panel formed with horizontally elongated slots. The hook has front and back panels of equal width, joined by a bridging element which extends over the full width of the panels to enable the thickness of the bridging element to be minimized. The plastic material is reinforced with fiber to increase strength and to further reduce the required thickness of the bridging element. Upper portions of the front and back panels are flared outward at their upper edges to facilitate application to the display panel, through a slot therein. The lower portion of the back panel is free of rearward curvature and extends downward below the upper surface of the bridging element a distance loss than the height of the display panel slot. The full width, relatively thin bridging element maximizes the permissible downward projection of the lower portion of the back panel, providing greater strength and stability of the display hook mounting.
