2121811 9308553 PCTABS00021 A merchandising system (10) comprises an elongate hanger (16) having a rear end adapted to be secured to a vertical surface such as a pegboard (12) and a front end formed with a head having a periphery of a certain shape to identify a product to be hung on the hanger. The system further includes the identified product (18) having a similarly shaped hanging opening (26) at its upper end. The opening can be aligned with and made to receive and pass over the head so that the product can hang on its identifying hanger. The system is specifically designed for battery packages. Packages having batteries of a different size will not fit over the head because their openings are not similarly shaped.
