A merchandising unit for displaying and dispensing cylindrical cartridges and squeeze tubes containing caulks, sealants, adhesives and the like has two side panels, a back panel, a front panel, at least a portion of which is removable, and a bottom panel. A distance between the two side panels is substantially the same as a distance between the bottom panel and the top of the two side panels and the length of the cartridge and squeeze tube containers does not exceed those distances, such that the containers may be displayed in the unit either horizontally, in which case the front panel is positioned between front edges of the two side panels, or vertically, in which case at least a portion of the front panel is removed. A method of displaying and dispensing such containers is also disclosed.
