This invention relates to a process for separating U or Th values from values of at least one other metal such as Ta, Nb, Sc, Zr, Ti or Mg, wherein all of the values are contained in a difficult soluble matrix of highly fluorinated feed materials such as U or Th bearing ores or the processing products, processing intermediates, or processing residues thereof.

Ce procédé permet de séparer les valeurs de U et de Th des valeurs d'au moins un autre métal, tel que Ta, Nb, Sc, Zr, Ti ou Mg, lorsque toutes les valeurs sont contenues dans un agglomérat difficilement soluble de matières brutes hautement fluorées, comme les minerais contenant du U ou Th, ou les produits de fabrication, les produits à retraiter ou encore les résidus résultant du traitement.
