The process for recovering Ta/Nb values from highly fluorinated ore materials by the process of: (a) contacting the materials with one or a mixture of HNO3 or HC1, and H3BO3 wherein the H3BO3 to other acid molar ratio is from about 1/10 to about 1/1, (b) maintaining the temperature between about 55 ~C and about 85 ~C, (c) reacting for a sufficient period to substantially solubilize the major portion of the materials and to substantially insolubilize all Ta/Nb values, and (d) separating the solids containing the Ta/Nb values from solution.
Le procédé de récupération de Ta/Nb à partir de minerais hautement fluorés consiste à: (a) mettre en contact le minerai avec du HNO¿3? ou du HC1 (ou un mélange des deux), ainsi que du H¿3?BO¿3?, le rapport molaire du H¿3?BO¿3? aux autres acides étant dans la plage allant de 1/10 environ à 1/1 environ, (b) maintenir la température entre 55 ~C environ et 85 ~C environ, (c) laisser se faire la réaction pendant une durée suffisante pour rendre soluble la majeure partie du minerai et pour rendre insoluble pratiquement tout le Ta/Nb, et (d) à séparer de la solution les matières solides contenant le Ta/Nb.
