METAL CHAIN-BELT ABSTRACT A chain-belt (32) comprising a plurality of inter- leaved sets (34) of links (36) and load blocks (50) associated therewith. Each link is defined by toes (42A,42B), the toes of each link being defined by parallel inside flanks (46A,46B) joined by a crotch (48). A load block (50) is received between the inside flanks and further a hardened insert (62) is located between the links and the blocks to protect the links and improve the durability of the chain.
