IMPROVED METAL CHAIN-BELT ABSTRACT A chain-belt for drivingly interconnecting pulleys of a pulley transmission comprises a chain with load blocks surrounding the link sets (32) and located between adjacent pivot means (36). Each load block (44 or 60 or 74) has at least a pair of side-by-side windows (50, or 62 or 76) through which chain links extend, the windows being separated by a central strut (52 or 64 or 86,88) joining the upper (54 or 66 or 78 or 94 or 96) and lower (56 or 68 or 80) spans of the blocks, reducing deflections and twisting of the block spans due to the loading thereon from the pulleys.
