Organometallic complex having the formula (IAP)M(X)n which can be used for the formation of catalytic systems wherein: M is a metal selected from transition metals and lanthanides, in oxidation state "s" positive and different from zero; each X is independently a group of an anionic nature bound to the metal as an anion in an ionic couple or with a covalent bond of the "6" type; "n" expresses the number of X groups sufficient for neutralizing the formal "+s" charge of the metal M, and (IAP) represents a neutral bond consisting of a mono-imine of 2,6-diacylpyridine. Said complex is prepared with relatively simple methods and can be used, combined with a suitable co-catalyst, such as for example, an aluminoxane, as catalyst in normal (co)polymerization processes of .alpha.-olefins, and especially ethylene.
L'invention concerne des complexes organométalliques représentés par la formule (IAP)M(X)n, pouvant être utilisés pour former des systèmes catalytiques. Dans cette formule, M représente un métal sélectionné dans un groupe constitué de métaux de transition et de lanthanides, ledit métal se trouvant en état d'oxydation positive "s" et différent de zéro; chaque X représente indépendamment un groupe de nature anionique lié au métal de la même manière qu'un anion dans un couple ionique ou par une liaison covalente du type " sigma "; "n" exprime le nombre de groupes X suffisants pour neutraliser la charge formelle "+s" du métal M, et (IAP) représente une liaison neutre constituée d'un mono-imine de 2,6-diacylpyridine. Lesdits complexes sont préparés à l'aide de procédés relativement simples, et peuvent s'utiliser en association avec un co-catalyseur, tel que par exemple un aluminoxane utilisé comme catalyseur dans des procédés normaux de (co)polymérisation d' alpha -oléfines, et plus particulièrement d'éthylène.
