Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a metal condensed phosphate comprising a core of metal condensed phosphate and a coating on the core comprising a reaction product of a metallate and acid. Also disclosed are methods of preparing the coated, metal condensed phosphate. Disclosed is an aqueous curable composition comprising: (A) a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible silicate; and (B) a metal condensed phosphate hardener, the metal condensed phosphate hardener comprising a core of metal condensed phosphate and a coating on the core comprising a reaction product of a metallate and acid; and (C) water. Also disclosed are methods of preparing the compositions of the invention.
