METAL CUTTING APPARATUS AND METHOD Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a metal cutting apparatus and method for cutting metal, such as rod wire or the like by a metal shaving operation. The apparatus includes a pay- off mechanism for continuously delivering the workpiece to a progressive die station for selectively removing the metal by shaving, and a take-up mechanism for continuously pulling the workpiece through the die station.
