A metal cutting system with a tool holder (1), a shim (3), an insert (10) with a top depression (15), a top piece (18) and a clamp. A rake face cooling channel (21) for fluid delivery is formed between the top piece (18) and the depression (15) in the insert. A primary discharge slot (27) at the end of the rake face cooling channel (21) delivers fluid from below the cutting edge (16) of the insert. A second cooling channel (9) for delivery of fluid to the flank face (12) is formed between the insert (10) and the shim or is formed between the shim (3) and the tool holder (1) with a portion of the cooling channel passing through the shim (3).

L'invention concerne un système de coupe des métaux présentant un porte-outil (1), une cale (3), une pièce rapportée (10) présentant une dépression supérieure (15), une pièce supérieure (18) et une bride.
