The panel comprises an outer plate (70) carried by a metal frame (71). Two opposite sides of the frame are formed by light metal profiled elements (72, 73) having a shoulder (74) which extends along one edge (75) of the outer surface of the plate. This shoulder may be bevelled or right-angled. The plate is clamped between the opposed shoulders (74) by means of two threaded steel rods (76). Ther other two edges of the panel are devoid of any metal element. The panel (62) may be placed on front of a window (63) or an opaque part of the frontage. This panel makes it possible to attach, without the use of glue, thin frontage-lining plates, particularly plates of glass or stone, so that they are virtually the only visible parts of the frontage.

PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION Panneau de revêtement ou de fenêtre destiné à former un élément préfabriqué de la surface extérieure d'une façade d'un bâtiment et comportant au moins une plaque extérieure rectangulaire, notamment en verre, en pierre, en fibrociment, en matière synthétique ou similaire, et un châssis métallique portant ladite plaque extérieure et pourvu de moyens pour sa fixation à une structure de façade ou à une fenêtre, ce châssis comportant des rebords métalliques accrochés à au moins deux bords opposés de la plaque extérieure, caractérisé en ce que le châssis métallique comporte au moins une paire d'éléments de support, pourvus desdits rebords et disposés sur deux bords opposés de la plaque extérieure, et des éléments de traction reliant les deux éléments de support de chaque paire de manière à les tirer l'un vers l'autre et à serrer la plaque extérieure entre lesdits rebords.
