A metal golf club head (1), wherein the rigidity of an intermediate sensitivity region (5), a heel side region excluding the portion thereof which is in the vicinity of a face center (3), is set lower than that of a low sensitivity region (4) so as to set a natural frequency of the metal golf club head close to that of a ball and secure the strength of a face (2).
