This invention relates to a process for separating one or more cyclic products from a reaction product fluid comprising one or more cyclic reactants, a metal- organophosphorus ligand complex catalyst, optionally free organophosphorus ligand, a non-polar solvent and said one or more cyclic products, wherein said process comprises: (1) reacting said one or more cyclic reactants in the presence of said metal-organophosphorus ligand complex catalyst, optionally free organophosphorus ligand and non-polar solvent to form a multiphase reaction product fluid; and (2) separating said multiphase reaction product fluid to obtain a non-polar phase comprising said one or more cyclic reactants, metal-organophosphorus ligand complex catalyst, optionally free organophosphorus ligand and non-polar solvent and a polar phase comprising said one or more cyclic products.

Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant de séparer un ou plusieurs produits cycliques d'un fluide de réaction comprenant un ou de plusieurs réactifs cycliques, un catalyseur de complexe métal/ligand organophosphoré, un ligand organophosphoré éventuellement libre, un solvant non polaire et ledit ou lesdits produits cycliques. Ce procédé consiste à : (1) faire réagir le ou les réactifs en présence dudit catalyseur de complexe métal/ ligand organophosphoré, d'un ligand organophosphoré éventuellement libre et un solvant non polaire pour former un liquide de réaction multiphasique; et (2) séparer ledit liquide de réaction multiphasique pour obtenir une phase non polaire comprenant le ou les réactifs cycliques, le catalyseur de complexe métal/ligand organophosphoré, le ligand organophosphoré éventuellement libre et le solvant non polaire et une phase polaire renfermant le ou les produits cycliques.
