ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to dispersion strengthening of metals. A coherent mass comprising an intimate blend of alloy powder and oxidant is formed prior to dispersion strengthening. Said coherent mass is easily formed because the alloy powder is not yet strengthened, and undergoes internal oxidation rapidly because of the intimate blend of alloy powder and oxidant.
