A method and facilities for producing green pellets from a powdery raw material and reducing the green pellet in a rotary hearth type reducing furnace, which comprises kneading a raw material of a fine powder (including particles having a size of 10 µm or less in an amount of 20 to 80 mass %) which contains metal oxides and carbon and is fed from a raw material storage tank (1) in a kneader (5), preparing green pellets with a pan-type pelletizer, classifying the resulting pellets with a pellet sieving device (9), drying the pellets with a pellet drying device (11), and then reducing the green pellets in a rotary hearth type reducing furnace (13), wherein the green pellets are transferred and treated continuously. The method allows the production of green pellets having high strength and the reduction of the green pellets in good efficiency with little collapse or pulverization of the pellets.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et des installations permettant de produire des granulés verts à partir d'une matière brute en poudre et de réduire ces granulés verts dans un four de réduction de type four à sole rotatif. Ce procédé consiste à malaxer une matière brute de poudre fine (comprenant des particules d'une taille de 10µm ou moins dans un dosage de 20 % à 80 % en masse) qui contient des oxydes métalliques et du carbone et qui est alimentée en provenance d'un réservoir (1) de stockage de matière brute dans un malaxeur (5), à préparer des granulés verts avec un granulateur de type batée, à classifier les granulés résultants avec un dispositif (9) de tamisage de granulés, à sécher ces granulés avec un dispositif (11) de séchage de granulés, puis à réduire ces granulés verts dans un four (13) de réduction de type four à sole rotatif, les granulés verts étant transférés et traités en continu. Ce procédé permet de produire avec une bonne efficacité des granulés verts avec peu de granulés affaissés ou pulvérisés.
