- 24 - Metal/plastic film composite containing inorganic oxides, process for producing it and its use for the manufacture of cans Abstract The present invention relates to metal/plastic film composites containing inorganic oxides, which composites contain at least 0.1% by weight, preferably 0.5 to 8% by weight, relative to the total weight of thermoplastic of the plastic films and of the inorganic oxides, of a powder consisting of zinc oxide and/or manganese oxide, in the plastic films and/or in the adhesion promoter layers or adhesive layers located between the metal and the plastic films, the metal of the composites having a thickness of at least 0.08 mm. The invention also relates to processes for producing the metal/plastic film composites and to the use of the composites for the manufacture of cans.
