Abstract: "IMPROVEMENTS IN METAL POURING APPARATUS" Teeming control apparatus comprises an outlet duct installable e.g. in a tundish and providing at least one exit opening. Movable in the duct is a valve member having an enlargement at one end cooperable with a valve seat at the mouth or inlet end of the duct, to open or close the duct to entry of melt from the tundish. The valve member is configured at its other end so as to vary the effective size of the exit opening(s) and thereby provide control over the teeming flow rate from the apparatus.
