ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is provided herein for preparing a novel metal salt of an organic phosphate represented by the general Formula (1) Image (I) wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are as defined in the specification, and n1, n2 and n3 are valances of R1, R2, and R3, respectively. The process involves reacting a compound of the general Formula (3) Image (3) wherein R1, R2 and R3 are defined in the specification, with an hydroxide, or with a chloride, or with a metal salt. These compounds are extremely stable and have excellent cholesterol- lowering action.
