Metal sulphate suspension recovered from waste acid, a process for its preparation and its use ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a process by which the sulphuric acid present in the waste acid formed in the production of titanium dioxide by the sulphate process may be returned to the stage of digestion of the titanium raw material after concentration of the acid, In this process, the sulphuric acid, which is at a concentration of 60 to 70% when separated from the 501 id metal sulphates after the concentrated waste acid has been cooled to a tempera- ture below 70°C and which still contains dissolved metal sulphates is evaporated to a concentration of 70 to 85% by weight H2SO4. The invention further relates to a metal sulphate suspension and to its use in the production of titanium dioxide.
