The object of the present invention is to provide a metal surface treatment agent which improves the press molding workability of metal materials, and which can form a coating film that is superior in terms of at least one of moisture resistance and coating film stripping characteristics. The metal surface treatment agent of the present invention comprises (A) a copolymer which comprises (a) styrene and (b) a vinyl compound with carboxyl groups that is copolymerizable with styrene, and (B) a lubricating agent. The metal surface treatment agent is characterized by the fact that the weight ratio of component (a) to component (b) in the aforementioned polymer (A), i.e., (a)/(b) (weight ratio), is in the range of 1/9 to 9/1, the proportion of (a) + (b) in the aforementioned polymer (A) is 30 to 100 weight %, and the weight ratio of (B) to (A) + (B) is 2 to 30 weight %.

L'invention concerne un agent de traitement de surface métallique permettant d'améliorer l'usinabilité d'une matrice de compression de matériaux métalliques et de former un film de qualité supérieure en matière d'au moins l'une des caractéristiques de résistance à l'humidité et de pelage du film de revêtement. L'agent de traitement de surface métallique selon l'invention comprend (A) un copolymère renfermant (a) du styrène et (b) un composé vinylique doté de groupes carboxyle et qui est copolymérisable avec le styrène et, (B) un agent lubrifiant, et est caractérisé par le fait que le rapport pondéral du composant (a) au composant (b) dans le polymère (A) précité, à savoir (a)/(b) (rapport pondéral) se situe entre 1/9 à 9/1, et en ce que la proportion de (a) + (b) dans le polymère (A) précité est de 30 à 100 % en poids, et le rapport pondéral de (B) à (A) + (B) est de 2 à 30 % en poids.
