The invention discloses the manufacture of a metal tank comprising the following steps: coating a strip of sheet steel with a thermally adhesive polymer based layer, preparing segments provided with assembly zones from the blanks of the said coated sheet, assembling the said segments at the assembly zones, consolidating the assembly by cold mechanical assembling means and heating to activate bonding of the polymer layers in contact at the assembly zones. The invention is useful in particular for manufacturing fuel tanks and heat exchangers.
Procédé de fabrication d'un réservoir dans lequel on revêt une bande de tôle d'acier d'une couche à base de polymère thermocollable, à partir de flans de ladite tôle revêtue, on prépare des coquilles dotées de zones d'assemblage, puis on assemble lesdites coquilles par les zones d'assemblage, on consolide l'assemblage par des moyens d'assemblage mécanique à froid et on chauffe pour activer le collage des couches polymères en contact au niveau des zones d'assemblage. L'invention s'applique notamment à la fabrication de réservoirs à carburant et d'échangeurs thermiques.
