This invention is an improvement on known roof shingles. The method is to use metallic foil or sheet as the layers of these shingles' outwardly surface shined by sunlight directly. The roof shingles with this invention will have excellent sunlight reflecting capacity by the smooth surface covered by metal foil, so it will be better on heat isolation than known roof shingles and reduce the energy consumption of buildings, meanwhile this invention also help to extend the lifetime of roof shingles.
