The present invention concerns: -a metallic material that can be worn away by abrasion, principally consisting of a metal alloy based on nickel and/or cobalt which is (quasi) free of oxide or of a ceramic and having in its volume, particles of solid lubricant and/or closed pores and/or surface recesses; -parts, in particular plates, formed from said material; -casings the inner surface of which is at least partially covered with said plates; -a process for producing said material.
