ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a sintered ceramic body covered by a layer of metal or metal alloy and a method to make the same. According to the invention said metallized layer is deposited on the substrate by CVD process, wherein tungsten and/or molybdenum halide are reacted with silicon hydrides, said metallic layer being thus directly deposited on the substrate, without any intermediate layer between both. Bonding strengths of at least 3.2. ? 0,4 kg/mm2 are obtained.
