The present invention relates to metallocene-based phosphine ligands having chirality at phosphorus and at least one other element of chirality (planar chirality and/or chirality at carbon); and to the use of such ligands in asymmetric transformation reactions to generate high enantiomeric excesses of formed compounds. A method for the preparation of ligands according to the invention involving the conversion of the ortho-lithiated substituted metallocene to a phosphine chiral at phosphorus is also disclosed.

La présente invention a trait à des ligands de phosphine à base de métallocène présentant une chiralité au niveau du phosphore et au moins un autre élément de chiralité (chiralité planaire et/ou chiralité au niveau du carbone) ; et à l'utilisation de tels ligands dans des réactions de transformation asymétrique pour la génération d'excédents élevés énantiomères de composés formés. L'invention a également trait à un procédé pour la préparation de ligands selon l'invention comprenant la conversion du métallocène à substitution ortho par le lithium en une phosphine chirale au niveau phosphore.
