Abstract of the Disclosure A process for treating liquid slag to recover non- ferrous metal sulfides. A bath of such liquid slag is estab- lished in a tiltable non-rotary sealed refractory-lined vessel. A carbonaceous reducing agent, sulfur dioxide and oxygen are directed upwardly through the slag to create strong reducing conditions and controlled turbulence in the bath. Metal sulfides are formed and separated from said slag. - 1 -
