The present invention provides a method and use of incorporating water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer(s), stabilized in an invert (water-in-oil) emulsion, into an oil continuous metalworking emulsifiable concentrate, which is then diluted with water to form an end use oil-in-water emulsion. According to the present invention, the invert polymer emulsion (A) is added to the metalworking emulsifiable concentrate (B) to embed at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer into the metalworking emulsifiable concentrate, to form a stable, emulsifiable concentrate (C). The stable, emulsifiable concentrate (C) is then diluted with water to form an end use oil-in-water emulsion (D) causing the water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer in the end use emulsion to impart antimist performance.
L'invention concerne un procédé consistant à incorporer un ou plusieurs polymères solubles ou dispersibles dans l'eau, stabilisés dans une émulsion inversée (eau-dans-huile), dans un concentré métallurgique huileux continu émulsifiable, qu'on dilue ensuite dans de l'eau afin d'obtenir une émulsion finale huile-dans-eau. D'après l'invention, on ajoute l'émulsion polymère inversée (A) au concentré métallurgique emulsifiable (B) dans le but de noyer au moins un polymère soluble ou dispersible dans l'eau dans ce concentré métallurgique émulsifiable, de manière à obtenir un concentré émulsifiable stable (C). On dilue ensuite ce concentré émulsifiable stable (C) dans de l'eau afin d'obtenir une émulsion finale huile-dans-eau (D), ce qui confère une capacité antibrouillard à cette émulsion finale due au polymère soluble ou dispersible dans l'eau.
