There is provided a metalworking process, such as for example a punching process, wherein a shaping tool (e.g. punch) contacts and applies a non-ship forming shaping force to a metallic workpiece (e.g. blank) and there is supplied to the interface between the shaping tool and the metallic workpiece an aqueous fluid composition, having an alkaline pH, comprising water, a tall oil fatty acid, sulfurized lard oil, a sulfurized olefin, an oxyethylene/oxypropylene random or block copolymer diol having an average molecular weight in the range of from about 1000 to 8000 and an organic phosphate ester such as for example poly (1,2-ethanediyl) alpha-isodecyl-omega hydroxy phosphate. Reduced forces, lower friction and improved tool life are observed.
L'invention concerne un procédé de travail de métaux, tel que par exemple un procédé de découpage, dans lequel un outil de façonnage (par exemple un poinçon) vient au contact d'une pièce à usiner métallique (par exemple une ébauche) et lui applique une force de façonnage ne formant pas de copeaux, une composition de fluide aqueux étant appliquée à l'interface entre l'outil de façonnage et la pièce à usiner métallique, d'un pH alcalin, comprenant de l'eau, un acide gras de tallol, de l'huile de lard sulfurisée, une oléfine sulfurisée, un diol copolymère sans ordre ou alterné d'oxyéthylène/oxypropylène d'un poids moléculaire moyen situé dans la plage comprise entre environ 1000 et 8000, et un ester phosphaté organique tel que par exemple un poly (1,2-éthanediyl) alpha-isodécyl-oméga hydroxy phosphate. On observe une réduction des forces, des frottements réduits et une meilleure durabilité des outils.
