An interface for providing a meter reading to a plurality of remote units each arranged to perform a different function; the interface comprising means to read a value from a meter corresponding to a quantity of a commodity measured by the meter; radio transmission means and means arranged to control the radio transmission means to transmit a signal corresponding to the value read by the reading means to a plurality of remote units, each remote unit being arranged to perform a different function.
