A metered dose inhaler actuator for pressurised aerosol containing a formulation of at least one medicament in a liquefied propellant gas. The actuator (2) comprises - a nozzle block (5) having a bore (11) to receive a valve stem (7) - a sump (8) in connection with a bore (11), wherein the propellant formulation expands upon actuation of the inhaler, - a nozzle channel (6), exiting from the sump (8) and aligned with a mouthpiece (4) wherein the sump (8) is characterised for having an internal volume comprised between (12 and 2 mm3) to avoid deposits of the medicament during the delivery into the chamber and/or into the nozzle channel which could cause a reduction in the delivered dose and an increase in the occurrence of the clogging of the inhaler. The actuator of the invention is particularly useful in the administration of pressurised metered dose inhaler formulations, in solution and/or in suspension, wherein the concentration of the active ingredient/s of the formulation is/are particularly high and in particular suitable to administer at least 100 µg/dose, preferably at least 200 µg/dose, even more preferably at least 400 µg/dose.
La présente invention concerne un actionneur d'inhalateur à dose mesurée pour une bombe aérosol sous pression contenant une formulation d'au moins un médicament dans un gaz propulseur liquéfié. L'actionneur (2) comporte : un porte-buse (5) comprenant un alésage (11) pour recevoir une tige de soupape (7); un collecteur (8) relié à l'alésage (11), dans lequel la formulation de propulseur se détend lors de l'actionnement de l'inhalateur ; un passage de buse (6), sortant du collecteur (8) et aligné avec un embout (4). Le collecteur (8) est caractérisé en ce qu'il présente un volume intérieur compris entre 12 et 2 mm3 pour éviter des dépôts de médicament lors de la distribution dans la chambre et/ou dans le passage de buse qui pourrait entraîner une réduction de la dose administrée et un accroissement du colmatage de l'inhalateur. L'actionneur selon l'invention est particulièrement utile dans l'administration de formulations d'inhalation en dose mesurée sous pression, en solution et/ou en suspension, où la concentration du/des principe(s) actif(s) de la formulation est particulièrement élevée et particulièrement apte à être administrée en dose de 100 µg, de préférence en dose de 200 µg, et avantageusement en dose de 400 µg.
