An apparatus is described for producing slush ice, which may be used industrially in refrigerating/freezing plants and in ventilation units or for the production of an entirely new type of beverage having the consistency of a very thin slush ice. The apparatus comprises a first refrigerating circuit (1) for the beverage and a second refrigerating circuit (2) for a refrigerating medium, which is able to refrigerate the liquid in the first refrigerating circuit (1) sufficiently for ice to be formed. The first refrigerating circuit (1) comprises a conduit (3) having a smooth inner side and a pump (4), which constantly moves the liquid through it when the apparatus is in operation.
