According to the method for avoiding contact between oxygen and molten metal, said molten metal pours into a casting chamber limited by walls (1, 2, 13) and flows out of it in the form of billet. In order to avoid any contact between oxygen and molten metal and thereby entirely prevent reoxydation, the oxygen trying to penetrate between the walls (1, 2, 13) and/or adhering to them (1, 2) is chemically reacted through possible splits (18) by using a compound with no adverse effect on molten metal (20).

Selon le procédé proposé visant à éviter le contact entre oxygène et métal en fusion, ledit métal en fusion se déverse dans une chambre de coulée délimitée par des parois (1, 2, 13) et en sort sous forme de billette. Pour éviter le contact entre oxygène et métal en fusion et ainsi prévenir entièrement une réoxydation, on fait subir, par des fentes éventuelles (18), une réaction chimique à l'oxygène essayant de pénétrer entre les parois (1, 2, 13) et/ou adhérant aux parois (1, 2), en utilisant un composé sans effet nuisible sur le métal en fusion (20).
