An agitator motor assembly is removable from a front of an ice dispenser for servicing, thereby eliminating the need to gain entrance into a storage bin to uncouple the agitator motor assembly from an agitator bar assembly. The ice dispenser includes the storage bin having a port, the agitator bar assembly disposed within the storage bin, and the agitator motor assembly mounted to a front of an exterior portion of the bin. A shaft of the agitator motor assembly engages the agitator bar assembly through the port, such that the agitator motor assembly rotates the agitator bar assembly when powered. The agitator motor assembly further includes a fastening device that passes through a bore in the shaft and engages the agitator bar assembly, thereby coupling the agitator motor assembly to the agitator bar assembly. A method for removing the agitator motor assembly is also provided.
L'invention concerne un ensemble moteur d'agitateur pouvant être retiré d'une façade d'un distributeur de glaçons pour réparation, éliminant ainsi la nécessité d'accéder à un bac de stockage pour désaccoupler cet ensemble moteur agitateur d'un ensemble barre d'agitateur. Ce distributeur de glaçons comprend le bac de stockage pourvu d'un orifice, l'ensemble barre d'agitateur installé à l'intérieur du bac de stockage et l'ensemble moteur d'agitateur fixé sur une façade d'une partie extérieure du bac. Une tige de l'ensemble moteur d'agitateur vient au contact de l'ensemble barre d'agitateur par l'intermédiaire de l'orifice, de sorte l'ensemble moteur d'agitateur fait tourner l'ensemble barre d'agitateur lorsqu'il est alimenté. Ledit ensemble moteur d'agitateur comporte également un dispositif de fixation passant à travers un alésage dans la tige et venant au contact de l'ensemble barre d'agitateur, accouplant ainsi l'ensemble moteur d'agitateur à l'ensemble barre d'agitateur. Cette invention concerne un procédé pour retirer ledit ensemble moteur d'agitateur.
