The present invention is an energy absorbent area integrated on, or adjacent to, mirrors used with concentrating solar radiation collectors. This novel energy absorbent area is the embodiment of a suitably high sunlight absorbent coating and is in thermal contact with the mirror surface or substrate. Energy, absorbed by the present invention as heat, is conducted to regions of the mirror to evaporate, sublimate, liquify or otherwise facilitate removal of water from the mirror surface.
