A system and method for treating a biological fluid unit wherein the system ensures proper execution of the treatment by coordinating cooperation among a plurality of components operably connected to the system. The system includes a processor, a memory storing a blood product treatment module and being operably connected to the processor, at least one blood product treatment instrument for communicating information related to blood product treatment to the processor and memory over a communications network for treating a blood product, and, an interface having means for entering information, means for displaying information, and means for communicating with the processor and memory, the information being related to the blood product treatment. The processor, the memory, and the interface are for at least one of monitoring, managing, reporting, and administering the blood product treatment.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé destinés au traitement d'une unité de liquide biologique, le système permettant d'assurer une bonne exécution du traitement, car il coordonne une pluralité de composants reliés au système. Ce système comprend un processeur (8), une mémoire (130) reliée fonctionnellement au processeur (8), servant à stocker un module de traitement de produit sanguin, au moins un instrument (10) destiné au traitement d'un produit sanguin, servant à transmettre des informations concernant le traitement du produit sanguin au processeur (8) et à la mémoire (130) par le biais d'un réseau de communication destiné au traitement d'un produit sanguin, et, une interface (126) comportant un moyen servant à saisir des informations, un moyen servant à afficher des informations et un moyen servant à communiquer avec le processeur et la mémoire, les informations étant associées au traitement du produit sanguin. Le processeur (8), la mémoire (130) et l'interface (126) sont destinés au contrôle et/ou à la gestion et/ou au signalement et/ou à l'administration du traitement du produit sanguin.
