Abstract A method is disclosed for achieving a draught-free environment within a defined zone of a larger room by using a heating ceiling. The heating ceiling is in form of a frame having exchangeable foil sheets intend- ed to reflect heat from any heat dissipating bodies within the zone. The heating ceiling has a heat loop to produce additional heat complementary to the heat reflected by the foil sheets from the bodies so that a constant temperature is kept within the air volume of the zone. For control of the additional heat there is a sensor arranged in a chimney-like opening. The sensor is connected to a control circuit. With the heating ceiling there is obtained a wall-less and thereby an accessible zone having a well defined environment and a substantially constant temperature. Examples of applicat- ions for the heating ceiling are in the rearing of animals, the treating of burns and the like where maintenance of draught-free environment and constant temperature is important.
