Audio signals are digitized (60) and an FFT (62, 240) is conducted on samples of the digitized signals to produce corresponding frequency spectrums. These spectrums are analyzed, such as by determining one or more peak frequency magnitudes (242) which are 33 dB greater than harmonics or subharmonics of the frequency in a plurality of several successive spectrums, to detect resonating feedback frequencies. The offending frequency is then filtered (316, 413) in the time domain, either in the digitized form or analog form, to eliminate the feedback.

Des signaux audio sont numérisés (60) et une transformation de Fourier rapide (62, 240) est effectuée sur des échantillons des signaux numérisés afin de produire des spectres de fréquence correspondants. Ces spectres sont analysés, par exemple lorsqu'on détermine une ou plusieurs fréquences de crête (243) qui sont supérieures de 33 dB aux harmoniques et sous-harmoniques de la fréquence dans une multiplicité de spectres successifs, afin de détecter les fréquences de réaction résonnantes. La fréquence dérangeante est alors filtrée (316, 413) dans la plage de temporisation, soit sous la forme numérisée, soit sous la forme analogique, afin d'éliminer la réaction.
