ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus are provided herein for separating liquid, e.g. water from fine particles, e.g. sand in the preparation of hydraulic mortars or concretes. The method includes the adjusting of the quantity of liquid deposited on the fine particles, comprising the steps of successively supplying a predetermined quantity of the fine particles deposited with liquid, and then applying an impact force larger than adhesive force of the liquid to the fine particles thereby removing the deposited liquid. The hydraulic mortar or concrete prepared from such particles has small segregation and bleeding, and products prepared there- from have excellent mechanical strength.
