A framing assembly comprising a plurality of primary and secondary support members wherein the primary supports have a plurality of grooved portions into which the secondary supports are inserted and retained. The grooved portions located within the primary support members have substantially the same width as the secondary support members. The primary and secondary support members may be utilized as floor, wall and roof supports thereby decreasing time and costs, and improving strength of the resulting framing assembly.
