Method and apparatus used to calculate the hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide loading of both rich and lean amine solutions used to remove acidic gas components from sour or production gases in order to produce a sweet or sales gas for transmission purposes. The amine solution is divided into three(3) liquid streams carrying different proportions of heat stable salts, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. Conductivity measurements are made on each of the streams and are converted to acid loading values for the amine. The acid loading values of the amine are used to obtain the hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide loading for the amine solution.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode et un appareil utilisés pour calculer la charge en sulfure d'hydrogène et en dioxyde de carbone de solutions d'amine riches ou pauvres dans le but d'éliminer les constituants gazeux acides des gaz corrosifs ou des gaz de production de façon à obtenir des gaz non corrosifs ou des gaz commercialisables à des fins de transmission. La solution d'amine est divisée en trois (3) courants liquides contenant différentes proportions de sels thermostables, de sulfure d'hydrogène et de dioxyde de carbone. Des mesures de la conductivité sont prises sur chacun des courants et converties en valeurs de charge acide de l'amine. Les valeurs de charge acide de l'amine servent à calculer la charge en sulfure d'hydrogène et en dioxyde de carbone de la solution d'amine.
