ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus are disclosed for assembling the slats of a blind to the supporting ladders which ladders have pairs of closely spaced cross bars or rung pairs between which pairs of rungs slats are to be inserted. The assembly is accomplished by inserting only a portion of the end of the slat first whereby that portion serves to guide the smooth insertion of the remainder of the width of the end of the slat.
